These aren't your ordinary Scissor Snaps.  They are actually made for use on horse tack. Equine Strength Stainless Steel. The tines at the scissor are longer for a more secure closure. The spring is Thumb-Touch easy on the human hand, yet Equine strength and sealed in a self-oiled chamber. We use this alligator style snap on SpecTACKular BioThane Reins.  They'll work just fine on your leather too. These will not rust or corrode - ever.
